5.4% of Van Buren County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Van Buren County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 316 people out of the 15,851 living in Van Buren County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Van Buren County has decreased compared to the 7.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Van Buren County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.
