Lyon College’s Teacher Education Program and the Arkansas School for the Deaf are partnering to create a new teacher licensure program that will prepare teachers to serve deaf and hard of hearing students in Arkansas.
To help provide an overview of the development of deaf education in the United States, specifically in Arkansas, discussion of American Sign Language and the manual alphabet, and a preview of the proposed graduate-level certificate program, Dr. Kimberly Crosby, Associate Professor of Education and Director of Teacher Education, presented a colloquium on Friday! The community is encouraged to tune in to Dr. Crosby’s presentation, which can be found at the following link: https://vimeo.com/793519298
