The Izard County Sheriff's Office encourages all residents to use a free online system that will help keep track of valuable --- and invaluable --- personal property. ReportIt is a free, secure online service allowing citizens to record serial numbers and upload images for phones, electronics, and other valuables. Should those items ever be stolen, the Sheriff's Office says having the information will go a long way in accurately and quickly identifying your property. Citizens can access the site at reportit.leadsonline.com. No, the Sheriff's Office or other law enforcement officials cannot access the data you stored in Reportit under your account.

"We started using LeadsOnline while I was an Investigator for the Sheriff's Office. We have been able to locate numerous items that have been reported stolen. Information obtained from Leadsonline has led to the successful prosecution of suspects. It is greatly beneficial to have the brand, model number, and serial numbers from items that you may have stolen. Reportit lets you save this information that we need to help locate your items. This system is not just beneficial in theft related cases. If there is a disaster and you lose your belongings, you can print a list of your belongings that your insurance company will need. We are excited for you to be able to have this valuable tool"- explains Sheriff Charley Melton.
