White River Area Agency on Aging’s mission is to advocate for and develop a coordinated system of programs and services that improve and enhance the quality of life for older or at-risk adults and enables them to live independently with dignity in the least restrictive environment.
Personal care services are available to persons who wish to remain in their homes by providing assistance with the clients’ daily living activities. WRAAA also offers several services especially for Veterans and their spouses in special circumstances. They work with a variety of resources to offer services to Veterans in the comfort of their home.
When someone or someone’s family calls for help, WRAAA Care Managers discuss their situation and walk them through options for care. Care Managers provide information on specific programs available and assist with the application process as needed. WRAAA Care Managers are a great resource for our community.
WRAAA is currently hiring paid caregivers and offer free training to those who don’t have a certificate. Contact your local WRAAA or complete an application at www.wraaa.com.
