The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony in celebration of the recent relocation and expansion of the Adult Education program at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB) on Thursday, September 22, at 10:30 a.m.
UACCB is a comprehensive two-year, accredited Arkansas community college with on-campus and online classes offering a variety of degrees and technical certificates. The Adult Education program provides a wide variety of courses, including GED classes and testing, ESL classes, and introductory courses for those who already have their high school diploma.
The event will be held in conjunction with the statewide Adult Education Open House. The Adult Education program, which saw a 40% increase in participation last year, will move into a significantly expanded and newly renovated space.
The ribbon cutting and open house will be held at UACCB at 2005 White Drive in Batesville. All community supporters, chamber members and ambassadors are invited to attend.
