Batesville Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on June 21.
IMPACT Independence County and the City of Batesville announce creative strategies to connect young children to the benefits of nature.
Spending regular time in nature improves young children’s mental, emotional and physical health, and better prepares them for school. By joining a national initiative that involves more than 40 cities nationwide, leaders will learn about policies, programs, and infrastructure to connect more young children to nature regardless of race, income, or ability.
