CITY OF FAIRFIELD BAY: WAPT Returns To Fairfield Bay For The Mountain Ranch Championship

City of Fairfield Bay issued the following announcement on May 6.

The Women’s All Pro Tour, the official qualifying tour for the LPGA’s Epson Tour, will be heading to Fairfield Bay, Arkansas for the Mountain Ranch Championship. The 4 day tournament will feature over 60 of the best LPGA hopefuls competing at the beautiful Mountain Ranch Golf Club.

"Fairfield Bay and the surrounding area is truly one of the prettiest regions of Arkansas. Mountain Ranch Resort will be a wonderful host for the WAPT again this year and we are excited to see some of the changes the course made from year one,” said WAPT president Gary DeSerrano. “Brian and the tournament committee go out of their way to make the ladies feel welcome and we thank him for all of his efforts to promote and grow womens golf.”

The Mountain Ranch Championship is scheduled for May 10-13, 2022. The week will include two Pro-Am’s, parties and a 72-hole championship finishing on Friday, May 13th. The tournament purse is expected to be $55,000 with the tournament champion taking home $10,000. In addition, as the official qualifying tour of the LPGA’s Epson Tour the tournament winner and runner-up will each receive an exemption into the Inova Mission Inn Resort & Club Championship.
