Bull Shoals Lake Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on April 12.
Thanks to Gerald Piotrowski's generosity, the chamber has three types of trees available for local businesses and residents of Lakeview and Bull Shoals. This beautification project is funded by Mr. Piotrowski in hopes of bringing more color and beauty to our natural landscape. The trees available are sugar maple, red maple and silver maple.
Tree Details:
The Sugar Maple is a landscape standout. Medium to dark-green leaves turn yellow, burnt orange or red in fall. Tolerates shade, likes a well-drained, moderately moist, fertile soil. Do not plant in confined areas or where salt is a problem. Grows to 60' to 75', 40'-50' spread.
A red maple tree gets it's common name from its brilliant red foliage that becomes the focal point of the landscape in autumn. It needs full sun and grows strong roots that can raise above the ground...this specimen can reach 40' tall and 30' wide.
Silver maples are very fast growing. Leaves are green on top and silvery-white on underside. Dancing in the breeze. They can reach 50' tall and 30' wide. Also, a vigorous root system, so avoid planting near sidewalks, sewer lines, etc...
Please call the Chamber at 870-445-4443, Ryan Branaman (870-404-0315) or drop by the Chamber of Commerce ASAP if you are interested in sprucing up your business or property and helping to beautify the area by planting one or more of these trees.
