City of Fairfield Bay recently issued the following announcement.
Join us for "Boati-Gras"– a boat parade celebrating the life and times of Jim Beach— the first King of the Krewe of Jesters. The festivities begin at 1 pm with "The Cajun Trouxth" food truck. We will have a photo booth with a free photo strip set up for the whole krewe to enjoy. Don't forget about the Best Decorated Boat contest judged by the band. Prizes for Boats include– 1st $300, 2nd $200, 3rd $100 (along with a certificate that can be picked up inside Marina). We will end the night with live music by The Crescent City Comb starting at 6 pm. Come get yeaux gaudy on!
