City of Cave City issued the following announcement on April 5.
Good morning,
At the City Council meeting this month, members adopted Ordinance 2022-02 to permanently close the section of Spring St. next to the building that currently houses Millie’s restaurant. This area will be redeveloped, eliminating the dangerous blind spot where vehicles exit onto Main St. (Hwy 167).
A new section of Spring St. will be constructed at a much safer location, just to the South of the current spot. Due to delays in so many things, we don’t currently have a solid timeline for this work to be completed.
Residents who live on this street have already been notified, and have easy access to South St. as they come and go.
The section will be permanently closed this Friday, April 8th. Please help spread the word about this change.
