Heber Springs Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 17.

For this week’s Woman Wednesday, AY About You sits down with Kasey Griffin, the Mayor of Heber Springs and owner of Cuts & Colors Salon.
Griffin is a native of Heber Springs.
“I went to Searcy Beauty College and after only a year working in a salon, my friend and I decided to open our own business,” she says. “We took the leap in 2003 and haven’t looked back.”
In 2011, Griffin joined the Rotary Club and got involved in her community. In 2014, she ran for city council, and won. In 2018, she ran for a second term unopposed. In 2020, the Heber Springs Chamber of Commerce named her the city’s Citizen of the Year.
Then, in 2021, the Mayor of Heber Springs stepped down.
