CITY OF FAIRFIELD BAY: Oktober Fest to be held Oct. 2

Beer

City of Fairfield Bay issued the following announcement on Sept. 21.

We can’t wait to share this fun weekend with you and your family! See you there!

It’s time to bring Germany to Fairfield Bay!

Join us on Oct. 1-2 at the Fairfield Bay Conference Center for Oktoberfest, and make wonderful fall memories like no other. The two days of unforgettable family fun will include:

Crafts

Costumes

Face painting

Food vendors

An art walk

A biergarten

A petting zoo

A dog show

And that’s just the start!

Beginning at noon on Friday, Oct. 1, we’ll have all of this and more, including a group walk/hike at 4:30 PM and a grand march with dance & competitions from 5:30 PM to 9 PM. Then on Saturday, Oct. 2, you can lace up for a 5k race in the hills at 7 AM as well as street dancing that will last from 6-9 PM.

We’ve also got plenty of can’t-miss things to do for kids! On Saturday from 10-6 PM, your little ones can have the time of their lives on bouncy houses, hayrides, and a dunk tank — not to mention hanging out with Marty the Magic Balloonman, whom you might’ve seen on America’s Got Talent!

Since there’s going to be so much to do, we encourage you to stay the weekend at Cobblestone Inn & Suites, which is just steps away from our Convention Center. Along with being pet friendly and including a restaurant and spa, the Cobblestone Inn & Suites is offering special rates for our Oktoberfest visitors!

We can’t wait to share this fun weekend with you and your family! See you there!
