Cotter Area Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
Aug 7th - Jimmie Creek Paddle. Announcement from Bull Shoals-White River State Park: On Saturday, August 7th, from 8:00 am - 10:00 am, join a park interpreter for a scenic kayak tour along the Jimmie Creek Section of Bull Shoals Lake. We will spend time exploring the coves and shoreline and hopefully spot some wildlife in this remote area of the Ozark region. All gear is provided. Wear clothing that can get wet (dress in layers) and water shoes or sandals. Please bring a water bottle, snacks for the trip, and any necessary gear if the weather is hot or cold (sunscreen, hat, fleece jacket). Children under 13 must be in a tandem boat with an adult. Space is limited! Pre-register at the James A. Gaston Visitor Center or call (870) 455-3629 by Friday, August 6th.
COVID-19 SAFETY GUIDELINES ARE IN EFFECT FOR GUEST AND STAFF SAFETY. SPACE MAY BE LIMITED.
Meeting place: James A. Gaston Visitor Center at 7:30 am
There will NOT be a shuttle provided. Participants must transport themselves to the put-in location that is 20 minutes from the Visitor Center.
Admission: $20 for adults, $10 for child 6 to 12 years old.
