MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER
The Fifth Annual Howard L. House Memorial Golf Tournament, presented by First Community Bank, will be held on August 7 and 8 in Batesville, Arkansas, at the Course at Eagle Mountain with proceeds benefitting the Children’s Advocacy Center of Independence County.
The Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) of Independence County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was established in 2017 and began serving children in November 2018, and their mission is to empower, protect and heal victims of child abuse. The Independence County center is 1 of 17 CAC locations in the state, and it serves children in Independence, Izard, Stone, Sharp, or Fulton counties. The center provides forensic interviews, medical examinations, therapy, advocacy, and community education at no cost to the children and their families. Since inception, the center has served over 400 children.
