Regular gas was sold at the lowest price of $2.59 per gallon at two gas stations in Izard County during the week ending Jan. 3, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

Of the nine reported gas stations in cities within Izard County, two offered regular gas.

The statewide average price of regular gas in Arkansas was $2.37 per gallon for the week ending Jan. 3, an increase from the previous week.

U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
