The Izard County Sheriff’s Office announced on April 21 that several individuals were incarcerated over the past week. Sheriff Charley Melton said all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
According to the report, Kaiden Withrow, age 24 of Calico Rock, was arrested on April 13 for speeding, possession of a controlled substance, and violation of a no contact order. Bautista Martinez, age 47 of Batesville, was arrested on April 16 for driving without a driver’s license and no insurance. Elizabeth Moore, age 37 of Franklin, was arrested on April 17 due to a warrant from the Izard County District Court for criminal trespass. Edson Josimar, age 31 of Melbourne, was also arrested on April 17 for careless driving as well as driving without a license and no insurance.
Other arrests included Lorna Favor (36) of Melbourne for public intoxication; Adam Franklin (39) of Melbourne for public intoxication and domestic battery third degree; Hayden Hill (19) of Oxford for reckless driving along with other traffic violations; Steve Lyles (52) of Paragould on a petition to revoke probation; Glenn Morgan (66) from Cave Creek, Arizona due to warrants related to criminal trespass and mischief; and Evans Elms (84) from Batesville pending formal charges regarding violation of a protection order third offense.
The Izard County Sheriff’s Office oversees law enforcement operations throughout all areas in Izard County in Arkansas according to the official website. The office manages patrols across an area covering approximately 547 square miles according to the official website.
Additionally, the agency operates detention facilities in Melbourne as well as maintains another station in Horseshoe Bend according to the official website. The sheriff’s office is responsible for conducting criminal investigations and provides programs such as K-9 units and school resources while working with local and state agencies according to the official website.
Sheriff Melton said these efforts reflect ongoing work by his department “to enhance community safety through dedicated law enforcement and corrections programs.”
