Michael Raymond Wamser faces new felony charges after evidence collected from a search warrant at his Fout Road residence in Gamaliel, according to an April 29 update from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office. The newly filed charges include possession of an explosive device, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession with intent to deliver controlled substances (including mushrooms and Kratom), and two counts of felony drug paraphernalia.

The case is significant as it involves multiple serious allegations, including child exploitation and weapons offenses. Investigators reported finding a pipe bomb, psychedelic mushrooms, digital scales, approximately 80 grams of suspected Kratom, about 50 firearms, and additional drug paraphernalia during the search.

Wamser was given an additional bond of $250,000 for these new charges. This brings his total bond to $400,000. Previously on April 27th, he was arrested on forty-nine separate counts related to child pornography while at the Baxter County Court Complex on an outstanding bench warrant obtained by Arkansas State Police. Officers also found more child pornography materials during the initial search at his home.

Sheriff John F. Montgomery said in the release that “additional charges are pending in connection with the results of yesterday’s search warrant at WAMSER’S residence.” Wamser had been out on bond awaiting trial for previous felony and misdemeanor charges including aggravated assault and terroristic threatening stemming from a July 2025 arrest; he is scheduled for jury trial on those earlier charges in August.
